BBC : Blue Planet

This show dives into the deep in the latest submersibles and discovers the life in the deep ocean and the cool adaptations of the creatures of the deep. Many of the creatures are transparent or red because red light never reaches these depths so all that can be seen is the bioluminescence of the shrimp fish and jelly fish one shrimp has the ability to release bioluminescent glue for self defense. The anglerfish has a luminescent lure to attract prey the hagfish scavengers has the ability to tie them self’s in knots to rip apart carcasses that fall to the ocean floor. The hatchet fish has reflective side and a luminescent under side making them almost invisible.
